Climate Change and Environmental Resilience
Community-Based Climate Adaptation
HTH facilitates Local Adaptation Plans of Action (LAPAs) through participatory processes, community mapping, and grassroots consultations. Our work includes ecosystem restoration, climate-smart agriculture, and water harvesting systems. Adaptation solutions are locally driven, replicable, and inclusive.
Climate Governance and Institutional Strengthening
We support climate policy development, legal reviews, and institutional planning aligned with the Paris Agreement, SDGs, and NDPs. We help ministries develop climate strategies, financing plans, and MRV systems. Capacity development includes training on mainstreaming climate in governance and budgeting.
Capacity Development and Training
Our modular training on rainwater harvesting, renewable energy, and sector-based adaptation ensures practical implementation. Blended formats, mentorship, and alumni networks create a multiplier effect of
local climate leaders and innovators.
Green Innovation and Youth Action
HTH incubates eco-entrepreneurs, green startups, and youth-led initiatives through innovation hubs, hackathons, and leadership programs. Areas o focus include recycling, renewable energy, clean construction, and agroecology. Youth receive training, mentorship, and access to seed funding.
Disaster Risk Reduction and Preparedness
We conduct multi-hazard risk assessments, support DRR planning, and deliver simulation training for emergency response. Our work integrates early warning systems, climate forecasting, and inclusive preparedness protocols. Special attention is given to camps, schools, and vulnerable groups.
Disaster Education and Resilience Building
HTH strengthens national and community-level disaster preparedness through a comprehensive program that blends geospatial technology (GIS & Remote Sensing), community risk assessments, and institutional capacity building. We support mapping of hazards, evacuation planning, and real-time early warning systems. Training modules include simulation drills, disaster coordination protocols, and climate-informed risk planning tailored to the needs of vulnerable communities. Our approach aligns with humanitarian standards and government DRR policies to improve responsiveness and reduce loss during emergencies.
Localized Knowledge Products
We co-create culturally relevant educational resources such as guides for drought-resistant farming, flood-proof homes, and climate curriculum integration. These are built on indigenous knowledge and scientific data to ensure localized application.
