Participants also receive training in UX/UI Design with Figma and Adobe XD, emphasizing inclusive and user-friendly interfaces. Our approach promotes design thinking, coding sprints, and mentorship, leading to the development of functional, scalable tech solutions for local challenges in education, health, climate, and civic engagement.

Data Analytics and Visualization

Horn Thrive Hub empowers communities and institutions to harness the power of data through our comprehensive Data Analytics program. Our curriculum covers theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in tools such as SQL, R, Python, Tableau, and ArcGIS. Participants learn to clean, analyze, and visualize datasets, enabling data-driven decisions across humanitarian, development, and government sectors.
Through real-world case studies, learners practice transforming raw data into actionable insights using tools like Jupyter Notebooks, relational databases, and spatial mapping software. Emphasis is placed on using data for evidence-based policy, program evaluation, and community accountability. This training prepares participants for data-related roles in NGOs, academia, and public institutions.

Data Collection Training

Horn Thrive Hub delivers tailored training programs on data collection methodologies that equip participants with the skills to generate reliable, disaggregated, and actionable information. The training targets government staff, CSOs, NGOs, and youth enumerators across Somalia’s Federal Member States, Banaadir, and all regions. Modules cover survey design, sampling techniques, enumerator ethics, and the use of digital tools like KoboToolbox, ODK, and mobile-based applications.
We emphasize participatory and inclusive data practices that engage displaced populations, women, and vulnerable groups. Through hands-on simulations and fieldwork, trainees learn to collect household-level, sector-specific, and thematic data aligned with national and donor requirements. The training enhances the credibility, speed, and accuracy of data for use in planning, evaluation, and accountability frameworks.
